A mom and pop shop with many Bay Area/filipino decorations. Staff was very welcoming especially on a busy weekend. I ordered the lechon kawali with longanisa, son order the longsilog, and wife ordered the nilaga (beef soup) . Everything was fresh and made to ordered, lechon kawali was crispy and tender. Will come back!

Two dishes this time. Fried pork belly stir fry with garlic rice. And mung bean soup/stew. Took extreme will power not to order Shanghai lumpia and stuffing my face. Food and service were excellent as always. And the quaint but local style dining area makes me feel like I'm in the Philippines.

I know there are two. I went to the other site a couple times but had never been to this one. I think this is one the better of the two. The flavor profile was as if you were eating at your Lola's. My son and I came on a Tuesday around 5:30 and there were only 2 other people dining in. It's a small older strip mall but not very busy and plenty of parking. We had lechon kawali kare kare. Pork was large pieces and crispy. Veggies vibrant in color. Gravy was everything kare kare needs to be. On to the pork sinigang. Sour..hot and veggies were fresh. Mongo also had pork belly and had great flavor. Son said his garlic fried rice had the right about of garlic. Serving size is definitely shareable. Brought home lots of leftovers for the teen waiting on us at home. Son ordered calamansi juice and I had the melon. Both fresh and refreshing. Service was pleasant, expeditious and came with a smile. We'll be back!

Parking is amazing and staffs are friendly. Restaurant is a bit old and outdated, but the food is decent, the garlic rice is phenomenal, but the meat was extremely oily and overburden the entire dish. The pork egg is not crispy enough, but rather really oily and just crunchy.

We came to Tapsilog Bistro for brunch on a Sunday morning, and they had just opened up so there were plenty of tables to choose from. We all ordered a meat combo, and I loved their serving size and the ability to customize! I wanted longanisa and lumpia, but also wanted tortang talong (eggplant), and they were able to honor my request. I ordered the lychee sangria, and it was made to perfection. The service was wonderful! We stayed for close to 2 hours, and they continuously checked up on us even as the restaurant started to fill up. At one point, a man who I believe is the owner came around and greeted everyone. He really came in there and rolled up his sleeves to help his staff on a busy day, as all business owners should! Overall, we loved the variety and the taste of the food! I'll for sure be coming back.

Tapsilog is one of my favorite Filipino restaurants in the area. I always come here when I'm craving something hearty and comforting. I usually order the Hearty Silog plate, which includes a mound of garlic rice, a fried egg, and your choice of meat--my go-to is the sweet sausage. Occasionally, I'll add a side of lechon for extra indulgence. Their sisig is another highlight, served sizzling on a hot plate that brings out the meat's flavor and aroma - it's perfect with rice. The service is consistently quick and friendly, and I appreciate that each plate is made to order, ensuring freshness. The restaurant has a casual vibe, decorated with medals and embellishments, making it a local favorite.

Not very experienced with Filipino food but I dare to say that lumpia is perfectly made and it's gonna be hard to find a better one. The pork filling is well seasoned and so juicy. Eat it while it's hot and there's still soup inside. The wrapper is very crunchy. This lumpia is addicting and worth a trip for it alone. Tried a couple other dishes. They are good but just not impressive to me. I do like the pancit, simple taste but really good. Will come back to try their rice plates.
